Campus life is not just for students living in the residence halls, but for commuter students as well. By definition, a commuter student is a student not living in any of the University-owned properties. Commuter students either live at home with parents/guardians or in an apartment close to campus. NC State recognizes commuter students as an essential part of the university community.
