Student Health Insurance is a requirement for all students enrolled at NC State. Students have the option of enrolling in StudentBlue or waiving the Student Health Insurance Plan (SHIP) and continuing coverage under a valid health insurance policy by September 10, 2014.

All sixteen universities within the University of North Carolina system, of which NC State University is one, administers Student Blue, Blue Cross Blue Shield for the Student Health Insurance Plan. Students do not have to be covered by StudentBlue to be seen at the Student Health Center. If students intend on submitting a waiver they must do so by September 10. If it is not completed by this date the $802 SHIP charge will be non-refundable. Read more about the Health Insurance requirement.
