Joseph Cannella, Ed.D.

Bio

Joseph (Joe) joined Registration and Records in June 2023. Some responsibilities for Joe and his team include working closely with college, department and unit catalog editors in all efforts related to the maintenance and publication of the University Catalog. Joe’s team also is responsible for class and event scheduling, university classroom space management, and maintenance and coordination of various departmental calendars.

Joe comes to Registration and Records after a 25 year career in K-12 education focused on curriculum, instruction and assessment, and a 4 year job in higher education in Cornell University working as Assistant Registrar for Curriculum & Scheduling.

Outside of Registration and Records, Joe is a Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, native and currently lives in Zebulon, North Carolina, with his husband, Matthew, their 7 cats, and Joe’s mom for whom he is a caregiver. He considers himself an avid gamer and a super Golden Girls and MASH fan.
